Azimut|Benetti at the Mets 2016 wins the Boat Builder Awards, international recognition for innovation

Azimut|Benetti Group is among the winners at the Boat Builders Awards 2016, second edition of the award organized by the authoritative magazine IBI in partnership with METSTRADE, to celebrate innovation in the marine industry.

Creative inspiration and advanced research are the main pillars on which the innovative strength of the Group is based. The former cannot fully express itself without the freedom guaranteed by the latter. For this very reason the new Azimut and Bennetti yachts are designed on the most advanced naval platform in the world.

During the gala dinner, held on November 16th, during the METS, Azimut|Benetti has been presented with the Boat Builder and Manufacturer Collaborative Solution Award.
The jury rewarded the innovative carbon fibre propellers system, Azipull Carbon 65 (AZP C65), developed by the Group in collaboration with Rolls Royce, recognizing the system innovative nature as well as the advantages it can ensure.
Thanks to the extensive use, for the first time, of composite materials, the new propellers are extremely light, with low noise and vibration levels, and offers high efficiency while reducing the yacht’s environmental impact.
Benetti Vivace 125’ M/Y Ironman has been the first yacht to be equipped with the new systems, followed by 5 other units – all already sold – while new megayachts are already under construction.

This recognition rewards the long-standing path of Azimut|Benetti in R&D, run by the Company together with an illustrious partner as Rolls Royce, and focused on a constant and continuous development in the research, which has always been part of the Azimut|Benetti Group’s DNA.

The award comes as a recognition for Azimut|Benetti ability to innovate. The Group is the world first shipbuilder thanks also to the constant will to develop new techniques and construction solutions, so to present its owners only the best yachts.
